Humana's Games for Health

Humana Games for Health
Humana has launched a new web site focusing on our Games for Health initiative (something that my Consumer Innovations team is working on). We sponsored this year's Games for Health conference (Games for Health Conference) which has been a raging success.

This is one example of the innovative work we're doing to help people get healthier by making health fun and entertaining. At the conference, we presented the results of our Horsepower Challenge game, which was created for the Jefferson County Public Schools. As a result of this game, the participating 6th graders increased their "Steps per day" by 47%!

I'm really proud of my team and my company for pioneering in this exciting space.

Insurer's Aren't to Blame for High Health Care Costs

Link Here
Working for a health insurance company, I am used to being the whipping boy . . . nobody really seems to love their health insurer. Some of that is well-earned; in my opinion much is not. However, you almost never see articles that shine the spotlight somewhere other than private insurers or medicare. This article in Slate magazine has a different perspective that I felt was noteworthy enough to . . . well, to NOTE. Curious to hear what my thousands of readers think.
